Geomatics Atlantic


The Geomatics Association of Nova Scotia (GANS) is hosting the Geomatics Atlantic Conference online November 8-9, 2021.


The theme is Geomatics NOW – From Field Collection to Online and Real-Time Dissemination. The conference will be exploring innovation, cutting edge R&D, and the future of geomatics. It will feature presentations on current spatial data field collection techniques and software, how teams transmit or store data in the field, and how the field data can easily be shared with others.


Ocean Tracking Network Symposium


The 9th annual Ocean Tracking Network (OTN) Symposium will take place November 15-16, 2021. The online event will feature live presentations, panels and workshops.


The Symposium is an annual event that brings together researchers from across the globe to collaborate, develop strategies and seek new opportunities for the sustainable management of aquatic animals in changing ocean and freshwater environments. It’s open to OTN collaborators, early career researchers, and anyone interested in aquatic animal tracking.

A Clean Ocean - Ocean Decade Laboratories


United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development is hosting "A Clean Ocean" as part of the Ocean Decade Laboratories series on November 17, 2021.


The event features presentations, panel discussions, and interactive breakout sessions.


Propelling the Blue Economy



The Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University is hosting a three-day virtual symposium on November 23-25, 2021.


The symposium will bring together leading scientists, researchers, government representatives, industry stakeholders, NGOs and Indigenous and coastal communities to exchange and share their experiences and ideas on all aspects of The Ocean Decade.This conference will provide an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and solutions to assist in the development of a common framework that will contribute to the development of a sustainable blue economy for Canada and the world.


MEOPAR Annual Scientific Meeting 2022


MEOPAR's Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) will be held virtually, with sessions taking place over two weeks, from January 31 to February 11, 2022.


The ASM addresses marine challenges with a coordinated Canadian approach.


Abstract submission is open until November 19, 2021.
