Call for Abstracts: ACCESS and BoFEP Joint Conference

Updated: Mar 7, 2022

The Atlantic Canada Coastal and Estuarine Science Society (ACCESS) and Bay of Fundy Ecosystem Partnership (BoFEP) are accepting abstract submissions for the joint 2022 ACCESS/BoFEP Conference. Abstracts are due on March 25, 2022. Note that any abstracts submitted after this deadline will NOT be accepted.

Submission form here.

Please note that submission does not count as registration.

In addition, ACCESS and BoFEP are also accepting proposals for a symposia and panel discussions. Those interested should contact Dr. Jeff Clements of ACCESS and Peter Wells of BoFEP.

The conference is planned to take place May 18-21 at the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus in Truro, Nova Scotia as a hybrid event. With the recent announcement from Dalhousie University to suspend in-person conferences until May 1st, it is advised that those submitting abstracts and/or proposals to be prepared to switch formats in the event the suspension is extended. The conference will offer a virtual option for attendance for those who cannot or do not wish to attend in-person.

Even with provincial regulations lifting in Nova Scotia by this time we would ask that you please bring a mask to wear indoors as Dal may still require it.

Registration costs will be released very soon. Meanwhile, to give an idea of the price, registration costs for the last ACCESS in-person conference (2019, Saint Mary's University in Halifax, NS) were $50 for students and $120 for non-students. Registration costs for a recent BoFEP in-person meeting (2018 Workshop in Truro) were $75 for students and $200 for regular (and $100 for one NGO representative). The above prices are not the costs for this year but should give you an idea of what to expect.
