Christina’s academic training and professional experience have been in sustainability and the environment: management of renewable resources, climate change adaptation, wildlife and habitat protection as well as energy conservation and renewable energy.
She lived in the Yukon for 9 years working for the Yukon College, Government of Yukon and most recently the environmental NGO, the Yukon Conservation Society, and was immersed in efforts to make resource management a democratic and informed process through engaging with local communities and all levels of government.
Christina returned to Nova Scotia to be closer to her family and feels like she is coming home. COINAtlantic’s network extends across Atlantic Canada and beyond and she looks forward to meeting many of you, learning about your work and finding ways to collaborate on truly sustainable management of the coastal and ocean ecosystems of Atlantic Canada.
